So, Elara's 'Enchanted Garden' party was supposed to be a low key event for me :) And in some ways it was a small affair: only her girl friends were invited (with just a couple of boys we couldn't do without); her costume was primarily purchased; and we visited a great store near us for all the cake's sugar flowers. But there were still enough handmade touches to keep me occupied, and Elara excited in the lead up to the party. Here are just a few ideas...
...easy invitations wrapped around bubbles...

...pretty paper wrapped around bottles of water, and baskets of fruit and lollies to take home....

...and finally, just a few flowers sewn onto her leotard and a pair of wings will make any pretty girl feel like a fairy. And she did!

Wow, you are a party planning maniac! (And I mean that in a good way.) I am in awe of your party stuff - you're a super Mum!
ReplyDeleteYou did a great job! We (as in me) really loved the take home basket! Am so glad that it wasn't filled with lollies - I really liked the fruit idea!!! Perfect...you may see that in June!
ReplyDeleteI agree - great idea with the baskets of fruit! The streamers in the trees - so simple, yet very effective! And of course, the birthday girl looked absolutely stunning!!
ReplyDeleteOh there's nothing more fun than parties and all the little bits of razza-matazz that goes with them!! Looks fabulous!! Love the flowers in her hair- I'm such a sucker for a good headpiece on a little girl!! And spearmint leaves..man it's been a while since I've had one of those.
